“As a photographer, I find inspiration in the intersection of artistry and authenticity, capturing moments that resonate with the raw emotions and unfiltered beauty of everyday life. I have loved creating beautiful things for as long as I have memory of my life and my journey as an artist continued with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, where my focus was primarily on drawing and painting. Through the exploration of illustrations, mural painting, and mixed media 2D design, I honed my skills in visual storytelling and cultivated a deep appreciation for the power of artistic expression.
While my roots may lie in traditional mediums, my creative journey has led me to embrace the dynamic world of street photography. Venturing beyond the confines of the studio while traveling the globe, I am drawn to the vibrant energy and untold stories that pulse through the veins of the urban landscape. With each step through a neighborhood, I strive to capture the fleeting moments of humanity that weave the fabric of city life, transforming mundane scenes into evocative narratives.
Through my lens, I seek to bridge the gap between the ordinary and the extraordinary, inviting viewers to see the world through a new perspective. Current Projects:
Rachel Niesman is currently working on building her Street/Travel Photography portfolio and e-store, FineArtTraveller.com. Her next 2024 travel photography plans in the near future include Paris, France in early May, Southern England in mid May, Vilnius, Lithuania in mid June, and the Summer Olympics in Marseille & Paris in July 2024.
